Here is a list of the things we will discuss:

  • Calcium
  • Vitamins and Minerals
  • The dosage of the supplements
  • Recommended Brands

Calcium is very important for the bearded dragons it ensures good bone growth, blood pressure and the proper functioning of the heart.

Vitamins and Minerals

As you may already know, vitamins and minerals are very important for health. Among other things, it helps with digestion and ensures strong bones and good resistance to diseases

The dosage of supplements

You can give supplements to the bearded dragons by sprinkling it on live food such as grasshoppers or dubia cockroaches. This is perhaps the easiest and best way to administer the supplements. You can also sprinkle a small amount over the bearded dragon vegetables. We do not recommend offering nutritional supplements over the water.

Frequency of giving the supplements.

Vitamins About 2x per week, we assume that food is offered every day, so if you don't feed live food such as grasshoppers this day, at least sprinkle it on the vegetables.

Calcium: The rest of the times you feed your bearded dragon

Recommended Brands

Vitamins Zoo Med Reptivite without D3

Calcium: Zoo Med Reptile Calcium Without Vitamin D3

Important Notes

We strongly recommend to give calcium and vitamins without D3, this can result in deformation of the bearded dragon. By having a good UV light in the terrarium, the animals, including Bearded Dragons, will produce vitamins D3. So you don't have to give extra D3

We recommend not mixing calcium and vitamins as this may result in the breakdown of the supplements (meaning it has less effect)

e careful with the amount of supplements you give, this should not exceed the recommended amount!
